Pre-Requisite: None

Course Description: This 4-6 hour period of instruction is intended to educate the student in the defensive use of the Kubaton. A Kubotan is a mini stick used for self-defense. Unlike other weapons, the kubotan appears like a nondescript key ring and therefore can be transported and concealed very easily. This course will be taught using visual aid supported classroom instruction & practical application.

Lesson 2: Releases

Lesson 3: Pressure Points

Lesson 4: Striking Skills

Lesson 5: Defenses: Choke Grabs/Shirt Grab/Wrist Grab

Lesson 6: Wrap Up/Review

Upon completion of this course, the student will possess the fundamental and necessary knowledge to defend themselves utilizing the Kubaton.

Requirements:

• Notepad and Pen
• Lose-fitting (preferably "tactical") Clothing
• Closed-toe (preferably "tactical") Foot-wear
• Baseball/Operator Type Hat
• Heavy (gun/operator/tactical/riggers) Belt
• Willingness to Participate in Selected "Immediate Action Drills"
